1. Choose the right niche
Choosing the right niche is essential when it comes to selling Notion templates. If you choose the wrong niche, you'll be unable to find your customer base.
So, if you're considering starting a Notion biz, choose the niche with a lot of demand and an existing market.
This way, your chances of failure will be decreased. Productivity, self-care, and health are some popular niches in this business.
I'm not saying go for a niche, even if you're uninterested. But building something nobody needs is a not-so-great idea.
2. Launch a premium product with a free product
Gumroad has an upsell feature where you can pop up your paid product when someone buys your free product. As a beginner, you can launch a free and paid template together.
This will help you gain some revenue starting. You can't scale your Notion biz to $100 with donations you've to launch a paid product, so why not launch it in the beginning?
3. List your product on the marketplace
I wish someone had given me this advice to me in starting. For a long time, I thought people get most of their sales from Twitter. However, after some research, I learned Twitter is not a very converting platform, and most creators rely on the marketplace for consistent sales.
There are many notion marketplaces, but very few of them are converting, so you must choose the right marketplace and submit your template to them.
It will help you get your first $100 sooner.
4. Use Gumroad Discover
Gumroad is not a marketplace that gives you millions of organic traffic; most of the time, you’ve to drive traffic to your shop. That doesn’t mean you never get organic sales from Gumroad.

5. Use Youtube
As far as I know, YouTube is the best-converting platform for selling notion templates. You don't have to go extreme just a tutorial video of your template on YouTube and Gumroad landing page can increase your conversion like crazy.
So, if you have time and energy, go for a YouTube channel for Notion Biz. I'm still unable to be consistent with a YouTube channel for Notion because I find handling a YouTube channel difficult.
But if you find the YouTube process easy, YouTube + Notion + Gumroad can give you an extra $1000 monthly.
