I’ve been writing on the Internet for the past 2.5 years. Over the years, I've tried different platforms, and to my surprise, I've gotten people's attention on every platform.

Today, I will tell you 5 things you should know if you're a newbie writer.

1. Start posting

You want to start writing on Medium or Twitter, and after a month, you're in the same situation where you want to start writing. It's not about thinking and dreaming. It's about taking your first step.

You have to post your first draft. It's going to take you courage to put yourself out there, but once you start posting, you'll feel more confident. I highly recommend posting your first tweet or blog without thinking much about the outcome.

2. Build consistency

Now that you've posted your first tweet, half of the battle is done. The rest of the battle is about consistency. You've built your consistency on the platform, and I've written many blogs about how to be consistent here.

In the beginning, it is a must that you don't ghost your audience.

3. Don't chase perfection
